Measurement of free-form surfaces
Non-contact measurement of the surface geometry of optical free-form surfaces – a demanding task Kugler has coped with since the early 1980ies. Dedicated arrangements of rotary stages, laser interferometers, and focus probes have been set up and integrated into 3-axis precision machines.
Today free form surfaces are measured using contactless optical probes, attached to our MICROMASTER micromachining centers. Often we use computer-generated holograms (DNLs) in combination with our interferometers – always depending on the specific part to be measured. In the end, we always provide state-of-the-art high-precision surface measurement!
