State-of-the-art, customer-oriented micro machine tools made by Kugler

The latest generation of the hydrostatically mounted MICROMASTER^® series ideally combines surface quality and accuracy with dynamics. Extremely fast regulation, with a sample rate of 12 kHz, in combination with specially designed symmetrically arranged direct drive provides for the most accurate processing results. 
In combination with a completely new development (not yet available anywhere else on the market) and visual workpiece measurement (patent pending), a complete imaging and correction of the workpiece contour is carried out during processing. Also new is a quick change system for fast µm accurate tool changes, for example HF or fly cutter spindles. 
The hydrostatic bearings, with a resolving power of <0.4nm, decouple the axes from the frame and environment so that no vibrations are created. The usual stick slip effect is completely eliminated providing a position stability of under 20nm. 
Low heat conductivity in connection with four separate cooling circuits make the overall system insensitive to temperature fluctuations. This is particularly important for workpieces that require long processing times.
Likewise the requirement for a compact system has been met. Thus the floor space requirement of the complete system is only a “tiny” 3.74 square meters.
