The project aims at the development of an economical and environment-saving process for the molding of holographic masters, so called embossing holograms, and also of other micro or nano structured relief structures in metal surfaces.
The project partners collaborate to lay the foundations for the embossing of holograms especially for optical elements, the prevention of plagiarism for branded goods and for decorative and safety relevant applications in the international printing and packaging industries.
KUGLER participates as one of the six project partners and is engaged in introducing the technological developments on the market.
The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and by the project leader DLR aviation and space institute, Deutsches Zentrum fuer Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. and will be concluded by end of 2009.
