The joint project 3DMikro aims to the integration of 3-D coordinate measurement equipment into high-precision machine tools. By in-process measuring of tools and workpieces the uncertainties resulting from multiple clamping are eliminated. Suitable sensors have to be found and adapted to production conditions. A measuring head containing multiple aligned sensors is to be developed. This head allows the 3-D measurement of a great variety of micro shapes.
